Leftover weekend #whiteboard. Talking about how to approach a chord progression...knowing what your options are harmonically, rhythmically, etc...knowing them INTIMATELY...not just from patterns and licks...this is a good start in making your music creative and unique...at least IMO. It allows you to take all your have heard...all.that has influenced you...and make it your own....art is a journey...it is (hopefully) ever evolving...it is what I hope for in my playing, for my students and for every artist...
