Weekend whiteboard

Writer: Charley SabatinoCharley Sabatino

Some leftover weekend #whiteboard. This discussion started with Secondary Dominance..while initially sounding like an interesting evening with "friends", it is actually a great way to begin thinking about reharmonization...and when, IMO, one recognizes the power of reharmonization...whether in composition, or improvization..creative possibilities become almost infinite...you can find an example of a reharmonization of a popular tune I did in the gallery section of my website and my tune "Niarta" is also based on a reharmonization. Assignment: take a tune, ANY tune and reharmonize it...it can be a simple addition or substitution of a few chords, or a major overhaul.
