On this installment of @yamahamusicusa #silentbass and @laklandbasses Friday, we will discuss the concept of "Ur Not Alone". Too often I hear from players that they feel they are so behind in their ability or they started so late to learn or they seem like the only person struggling with one or more aspects of their playing. To this, I always reply..ABSOLUTLEY NOT.  Everyone has these feelings. Everyone feels they are behind, started late (in some respect) or feels they are the only one struggling!! It is part of ANY worthwhole journey. Many of the "godz" have these feelings. I have seen it first hand! So, how do we deal with this? U need to realize ur not alone. There is a community of players that exist to help. U just need to find them. There are countless groups on various social media and internet sites. Find the one(s) that work for u. Some can be partially in person (like the amazing @decayanddecadence in LI, NY), some totally remote. These groups can help with the above feelings as well as find ways to improve through teachers/lessons, discussions and playing situations. The beauty of art is the interaction between participants and audience. Community is the beginning of that interaction. Finding open, friendly and supportive communities is the key to success in any endeavor IMO. As always, I invite your insights. #yamahamusicusa #makewaves #pirastro #glasserny #laklandbasses #sitstrings #tsunamicables #philjonesbass #uptonbassstringinstrumentcompany #basslessons  #remotelessons #www.charleysabatino.com.
