On this slightly abridged #NAMM2026 installment of @yamahamusicusa #silentbass and @laklandbasses Friday, we talk "community". Yeah, not gear...not celebrities..not ensorsements...not the Cali weather...COMMUNITY! We, as artists, need to support each other..PERIOD. Unless there is $$$ or a playing situation involved, there is no competition.  We are all valid...we are all creatives in the community. All tastes, styles, all ages, all levels. U dig? It shouldn't matter how much gear u have, how many hits u have on social media, how many famous people "u know", what ur resume is, etc.  It is about moving forward creativity and evolving as an artist in a supportive, friendly environment. As usual, how? This is probably the easiest plan I have ever laid out in this series. If a colleague puts out music..BUY IT! If they ask u ur opinion..be honest and constructive. Ur not helping if u either sugar coat or bash them. If there is a show, GO! AND PAY THE COVER!  Go as a fan, not a critic! You have a friend or colleague that needs help either creatively or musically? HELP THEM! If ur on the other side and need help? ASK! But don't necessarily expect all the help to be for free...friends and colleagues sometimes need to pay for instruction as well. Part of a supportive community is understanding that not all help is free. If a colleague hits a milestone, SINCERELY CONGRATULATE THEM! If they suffer a setback, ENCOURAGE THEM!!! If they ask for advice, GIVE IT FREELY AND HONESTLY!  This goes for helping beginners, weekend warriors, working professionals....EVERYONE is part of the community! As always, I invite your insights. #yamahamusicusa #makewaves #pirastro #glasserny #laklandbasses #sitstrings #tsunamicables #philjonesbass #uptonbassstringinstrumentcompany #basslessons  #remotelessons #www.charleysabatino.com
